My mother in law has an ICN 530 Navman, she has not used it for a while and now it wont switch on. The Navman plugs into the lighter in the car and the wee led light comes on but the unit wont switch on no matter how long you wait.
Any ideas please?

Not sure whether you still have problems with it, but I had a similar problem with another device after the battery went realy flat, like you I plugged it in and the light came on but would not start.

Eventually I just left it on a mains charger overnight and in the morning it worked fine, I never let my batteries fully discharge now as I no longer have any Ni-cads.
