Can anyone advise what is the biggest SD Card size a 520 will read?
Also can POI's be stored there as well as in the main memory of the unit?
Any information gratefully received

| That depends on your software version. Old versions will read only to 2Gb newer versions will read up to 16Gb SDHC.

| It is not the software, it is the bootloader that restricts what size card can be used. Using the latest bootloader will allow use of up to 16gig SD card. The POI can only be kept in the map folder. They cannot be stored separately on the SD card.

Not sure the size, but the size of the SD card can be support are limit by the chipset design for you device. Update your software or bootloader wouldn't help.
For the POI, you just need simply put both OV2 and BMP to your map folder.

If you have an old (Non-SDHC) chipset ... Transcend make a standard SD compatible card with a 4Gb capacity & x133 speed (Cost = +- £9)

Hi guys!
i can t tell you the specific format but i ordered two 4gb SD cards from USA, they looked cheap but the tomtom 710 uses it . All of the 4GB can be seen and accessed. I have USA, Canada, UK Europe all on it! it works great! I can tell you that I cant find another that works with it( BTW! its not SDHC!)!
